I am an Associate Professor of Management at Carlos III University in Madrid and my main area of research is human resource management. I have a PhD in Economics from MIT and I am mostly interested in (a) organizational practices that influence how jobs are designed and how employees are assigned to jobs; and (b) the interaction between these practices and rewards.
Some of the topics I have researched are job rotation schemes, employee participation in decision-making, employee discretion (autonomy), performance pay contracts, and implicit incentives (career concerns).
In this site you will find a summary of my published research with links to papers, journals and co-authors, and information about human resource management workshops that a group of colleagues and I organize in Madrid.
Welcome and thanks for visiting!!
